Get to know the Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital
Vajira Hospital is one of the first hospitals that originated in Thailand. It was established by His Majesty the King. He gave up his personal belongings to purchase land along with buildings and structures. Given as a public place for the people as a nurse for sick patients, His Highness came to open the hospital on January 2, 1912 and gave the hospital the name "Vajira Hospital" later in the year B.E. 1985 Vajira Hospital cooperated with Srinakharinwirot University in establishing the Faculty of Medicine Srinakharinwirot University Vajira Nursing is used as a hospital for teaching medical students in the clinical class.
Later, Bangkok had the idea to open its own medical school. Therefore, the Bangkok Medical College was established under the Bangkok Medical Office. In 1993, Kuakarun College of Nursing became an affiliated institution of Mahidol University according to the announcement of the Ministry of Universities in the Government Gazette. General Announcement Issue, Volume 111, Special Section 44D, dated November 21, 1994, regarding the acceptance of Kuakarun College of Nursing to join Mahidol University in 1994.
