Later, the central hospital faced a shortage of nurses Therefore, the second nursing school under the Medical Office was opened on May 17, 1970, located at 514 Luang Road, Thepsirin Sub-district. 1988 Kuakarun College of Nursing became an associate institute of Srinakharinwirot University according to the announcement of the Ministry of Universities in the Government Gazette, Volume 106, Section 120, dated August 1, 1989, and the name of the program was changed to Bachelor of Nursing.
In 1993, Kuakarun College of Nursing became an affiliated institution of Mahidol University according to the announcement of the Ministry of Universities in the Government Gazette. General Announcement Issue, Volume 111, Special Section 44D, dated November 21, 1994, regarding the acceptance of Kuakarun College of Nursing to join Mahidol University in 1994. The college has developed successively in terms of curricula to have graduated in nursing with quality Professional competence and readiness to perform duties in providing health and sanitation services to the people of Bangkok. Later, on November 12, 2010, the Bangkok University Act 2010 was announced in the Government Gazette. and came into force on Saturday, November 13, 2010, by transferring the mission and budget of Kuakarun College of Nursing go under the University of Bangkok using the name of the faculty "Faculty of Nursing Kuakarun" and was officially established as a faculty in November 2010. Later, on June 3, 2011, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej His Majesty graciously gave the name of the university "Navamindradhiraj University"
